Darkest Light

When Wren, an 18 year old girl decides to go trick-or-treating under her parent's permission one last time before packing up for college, she immediately regrets that after stepping out of her front door. As she goes door to door to each house, nobody is home. In fact, nobody in the small town of Water Bridge is. She thinks there is an event in town square going on, or there has been a mistake. But, boy, is she wrong.

Details: This story is set in the year 1952 in Water Bridge, Pennsylvania. The main character in this story is Wren Evergreen, a bullied, outcast that loves reading, and expressing herself through art.
